Raipur, 07 February 2023/ Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said “the number of income-oriented activities conducted in the Rural Industrial Parks being set up in Gauthans will be increased to boost employment opportunities at the local level. For this, a new policy for rural industries will be formulated soon on the lines of the new industrial policy of the state. This will strengthen the rural economy of the state.”
He was addressing the Bhent-Mulaqat programme organized at village Bhansoj falling under the Arang assembly constituency of Raipur district. During the programme, Chief Minister took direct feedback from the villagers regarding the state government schemes including loan waiver, paddy procurement at support price, income-generating activities conducted in Gauthans, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, and Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana.
He added that facilities like land, electricity, water and roads are being provided to the youth to start small-scale village industries in the Rural Industrial Park being developed in state-run Gauthans. The move aims to empower rural youth making them self-reliant. He said that we are still waiting for the Centre to give its nod for the production of ethanol from paddy. Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahriya was also present in the programme.
Chief Minister commenced his ‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ programme by garlanding the portrait of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and lighting the lamp. Explaining about the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the Chief Minister said that on March 31, the farmers will get the fourth installment of this scheme. He said that a record 107 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Everything was made available at the right time, from gunny bags to paddy lifting, distribution of tokens, and payment to farmers were conducted smoothly.
Tilak Dewangan and Sukhiram Sahu got the benefit of the loan waiver scheme
During the meeting, Tilak Dewangan, a resident of village Sandi while interacting with the Chief Minister said that his loan of Rs 3.50 lakh has been waived off and he is sending his child to Swami Atmanand English medium school. Sukhiram Sahu, a farmer of village Bhansoj said that he has sold 1100 bags of paddy. Sukhiram said that his loan of Rs 3.70 lakh has been waived off. When the Chief Minister asked about the difference in production from the farmers who use vermicompost, Shri Sahu said I practice organic farming and use vermicompost continuously for farming, it also reduces crop diseases and boosts crop production. He said that the tractor was bought with a money loan waiver.
A farmer of Bhansoj Arang told that he has got huge benefits from the loan waiver. It has helped him in the marriage preparations of his daughters. He told that his loan of more than Rs 6.50 lakh has been waived under loan waiver. Farmers are becoming financially stronger with your scheme. He heaped praises on the welfare schemes of the Chief Minister and the state government with his poetry.
Kumari Sahu opened a grocery store for her son by selling cow dung
When asked by Chief Minister Shri Baghel about PDS, women beneficiary Bindu Banjare said that 35 kg of rice, sugar and salt are being provided. Bindu said that kerosene and gas cylinders are highly expensive. Talking to the Chief Minister, Kumari Sahu told that she has earned an income of Rs 50,000 by selling cow dung under the Godhan Nyay Yojana. She has opened a grocery shop for her son using this money and the shop is running well. She appreciated the ambitious Godhan Nyay Yojana saying that the scheme is great. Expressing her gratitude to Chief Minister she said that you have done a great job by starting this scheme.
Rajkumari Sahu, a resident of village Nara gave information regarding the health benefits received under ‘Mukhyamantri Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana’. She said that she visits the clinic regularly. Iron and Calcium tablets are given free of cost. Medicines and doctor’s consultations are all free-of-cost. Mahima Sahu, a class 11th student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School, spoke about the facilities available in the school and told that earlier her school fees was Rs 25,000.
When asked by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, a member of the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club replied that ‘Chhattisgarhiya Olympics’ were organized in the state, in which he organized and participated in sports like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Fugdi, Gilli-Danda. Talking to the Chief Minister, Savitri Sahu, a participant in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics, said that she got a chance to play Kho-Kho, fugdi in the grand sporting event.
Women presented vegetables to the Chief Minister
Nara resident Chameli Bandhe, associated with the Anmol Sahayata Group, presented vegetables grown in Gauthan including cauliflower, pyaz bhaji, tomato, tivra bhaji, cabbage etc. to the Chief Minister. The women of Jai Maa Sharda self-help group operating in Khamaria also presented vegetables to the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel made several announcements on the demands of public representatives and villagers during the Bhent Mulaqat programme at village Bhansoj of Arang Assembly Constituency of Raipur district. The announcements include the construction of Sandi-Kukra road from Bhansoj canal, additional rooms will be constructed in Government High School Bhansoj, the construction of a compound and staff quarter in the Government Primary Health Center Bhansoj building, internal CC road and drain will be constructed in Bhansoj and Nara villages, bank branch will be opened in Bhansoj, Nagar Panchayat Mandir Hasaud Primary Health Center will be upgraded to Community Health Center, road construction from Sandi to Nara, Swami Atmanand English medium school will be opened in Chandkhuri, an access road will be developed from Umaria turn to Parsada in village Umaria, widening of Arang access road from village Ghumrabhatha, construction of high school building in Gondi, and upgradation of High School building in Paraskol.
