🔶 21 मई 2025 को एक उल्लेखनीय जवाबी कार्रवाई में, डीआरजी (जिला रिजर्व गार्ड) के जवानों ने दंतेवाड़ा जिले के ताड़मेटला हमले (अप्रैल 2010) के दौरान बसवराजु और उसके साथियों द्वारा सुरक्षा बलों से लूटी गई एके-47 राइफल को पुनः बरामद कर लिया है।
🔶 अबूझमाड़ के कुडमेल-कलहाजा-जाटलूर जंगल क्षेत्र में हुई ऐतिहासिक माओवादी विरोधी कार्रवाई के दौरान सुरक्षा बलों ने 2010 गवादि (जिला नारायणपुर) और 2017 बुरकापाल (जिला सुकमा) हमलों के बाद नक्सलियों द्वारा लूटे गए हथियारों को भी बरामद किया है।
🔶 कुडमेल-कलहाजा-जाटलूर मुठभेड़ के बाद बरामद अन्य हथियारों की उत्पत्ति का पता लगाने के प्रयास जारी हैं। यह उल्लेखनीय है कि बोटेर ऑपरेशन के दौरान निम्नलिखित हथियार बरामद किए गए:
एके-47 राइफल – 3 नग
एसएलआर – 4 नग
इंसास राइफल – 6 नग
कार्बाइन – 01 नग
.303 राइफल –06 नग
बीजीएल लॉन्चर – 01 नग
सुरका (रॉकेट लॉन्चर) – 2 नग
12 बोर बंदूक – 02 नग
पिस्तौल – 01 नग
भरमार – 2 नग
और बड़ी मात्रा में अन्य हथियार एवं गोला-बारूद।
🔶 कुडमेल-कलहाजा-जाटलूर मुठभेड़ में मारे गए 27 नक्सलियों में से 20 के शव, दावे के सत्यापन के बाद उनके परिजनों को सौंप दिए गए हैं। 20 मृत माओवादी कैडरों के परिजनों में से माओवादी कैडर कोसी @ हुंगी के परिजन 26 मई को शव लेने नारायणपुर पहुंचे और शव के कारण संक्रामक रोग फैलने की आशंका को देखते हुए, शव का अंतिम संस्कार नारायणपुर मुख्यालय में ही करवाने का अनुरोध किया।
🔶 वहीं, शेष 7 नक्सलियों के शवों, जिनमें सीपीआई (माओवादी) के महासचिव बसवराजु का शव भी शामिल था, के लिए कोई स्पष्ट कानूनी दावा नहीं आया। इन 8 शवों (जिसमें कोसी @ हुंगी का शव भी शामिल था, जिसका अंतिम संस्कार परिजनों द्वारा किया गया) का अंतिम संस्कार कार्यपालक मजिस्ट्रेट के आदेशानुसार विधिसम्मत तरीके से नारायणपुर में किया गया।
🔶 यह उल्लेखनीय है कि 21 मई 2025 को अबूझमाड़ के जंगलों में डीआरजी की टीमों द्वारा की गई ऐतिहासिक मुठभेड़ में अवैध और प्रतिबंधित संगठन सीपीआई (माओवादी) को एक बड़ा झटका देते हुए इसके महासचिव और शीर्ष नेता नामबाला केशव राव उर्फ बसवराजु @ बीआर दादा @ गंगन्ना को मार गिराया गया।
🔶 इस ऐतिहासिक माओवादी विरोधी ऑपरेशन के दौरान माओवादियों ने सुरक्षा बलों पर अंधाधुंध गोलाबारी की। जवाब में, सुरक्षाबलों ने साहसपूर्वक और कुशलता से जवाब दिया, और प्रतिबंधित संगठन सीपीआई (माओवादी) से भिड़ गए। इस कार्रवाई में 27 सशस्त्र माओवादी मारे गए और एके-47, इंसास, एसएलआर, .303 राइफल, कार्बाइन और रॉकेट लॉन्चर सहित भारी मात्रा में हथियार बरामद किए गए। मारे गए माओवादियों में सीपीआई (माओवादी) के महासचिव नामबाला केशव राव @ बसवराजु @ बीआर दादा @ गंगन्ना भी शामिल था, जिस पर छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार ने ₹1 करोड़ का इनाम घोषित किया था। अन्य वामपंथी उग्रवाद प्रभावित राज्यों और केंद्रीय एजेंसियों ने भी उस पर अलग-अलग इनाम घोषित किए थे। मारे गए 27 माओवादियों में से 2 आंध्र प्रदेश और 3 तेलंगाना से थे। मृतकों में शामिल थे:

1 डीकेएसजेडसीएम
4 सीवाईपीसीएम
3 पीपीसीएम
और पीएलजीए कंपनी नंबर 7 के 18 सक्रिय सदस्य
कुल मिलाकर ₹3.33 करोड़ का इनाम केवल छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार द्वारा घोषित किया गया था।
🔶 बसवराजु @ बीआर दादा, जिसने हजारों निर्दोष आदिवासियों और बहादुर जवानों की हत्या करवाई, का अंत अबूझमाड़ के जंगलों में भयावह रूप में हुआ।
🔶 यह कुख्यात माओवादी कैडर बसवराजु, जो देश के सबसे वांछित अपराधियों में से एक था, 10 नवंबर 2018 से सीपीआई (माओवादी) का महासचिव था। इससे पहले वह माओवादी केंद्रीय सैन्य committee का प्रमुख था। बसवराजु हजारों निर्दोष आदिवासी बच्चों के भविष्य को बर्बाद करने के लिए जिम्मेदार था, जिन्हें उनके असहाय माता-पिता से जबरन अलग कर संगठन में भर्ती किया गया। वह और उसके अवैध, अमानवीय सहयोगी बस्तर की दो पीढ़ियों की शांति और समृद्धि छीनने के दोषी हैं।
अब तक, जांच टीम द्वारा बसवराजु की प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष संलिप्तता वाले 258 से अधिक आपराधिक मामलों की छानबीन की जा चुकी है। नारायणपुर पुलिस इस मामले में आगे की वैधानिक कार्रवाई एवं जांच प्रक्रिया कर रही है।
🔶 उल्लेखनीय है कि अबूझमाड़ मुठभेड़ के संबंध में सीपीआई (माओवादी) द्वारा जारी प्रेस नोट में उन्होंने यह स्वीकार किया है कि इस गोलीबारी में उनके महासचिव बसवराजु सहित कुल 28 कैडर मारे गए। इस प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में यह अवैध और प्रतिबंधित संगठन अपने समर्थकों को देशभर में रैलियाँ और सभाएँ आयोजित कर, अपने क्रूर और भयावह नेतृत्व की मृत्यु को महिमामंडित करने के लिए भड़काने की कोशिश कर रहा है — वही नेतृत्व जो हजारों निर्दोष नागरिकों, आदिवासियों, महिलाओं, बच्चों और सुरक्षाबलों की मौत का जिम्मेदार रहा है।पुलिस और खुफिया एजेंसियां भूमिगत माओवादी कैडरों के साथ-साथ उनके Over ground कार्यकर्ताओं और समर्थकों की गतिविधियों पर कड़ी नजर रख रही हैं।

🔶 In a remarkable counter action on 21st May 2025, DRG troops have recovered back the AK 47 weapon looted by Basavaraju and associates from security forces during April 2010 Tadmetla ambush in Dantewada District.
🔶 Weapons looted by naxals after 2010 Gawadi (District Narayanpur) and 2017 Burkapal (District Sukma) were also recovered back by the security forces after the historical anti naxal operations in Kudmel-Kalhaja-Jatloor Forest area of Abhujmaad.
🔶 Efforts are on to establish the origin of other weapons recovered after the Kudmel-Kalhaja-Jatloor Encounter. It is worth mentioning that the following weapons were recovered in the Boter operation : AK-47 rifles – 3 Nos, SLRs – 04 Nos, INSAS rifles – 06 Nos, Carbine – 01 Nos, .303 rifles – 06 Nos, BGL launcher – 01 No, Surka (rocket launcher) – 2 Nos, 12 Bore guns – 03 Nos, country-made pistol – 01 No, Bharmar – 02 Nos, and a significant amount of other arms and ammunition
🔶 Meanwhile Out of 27 Naxal Dead bodies recovered from Kudmel-Kalhaja-Jatloor Encounter, 20 dead bodies have been handed over to the family members after verifying their claims. Out of the family members of 20 deceased naxal cadres, family members of Maoist cadre Kosi @ Hungi, who have come to Narayanpur to collect the dead body on 26th of May, have requested the local authorities to facilitate the cremation of the dead body in Narayanpur headquarters itself due to the apprehension of possibility of spread of communicable diseases because of the decomposition of dead bodies.
🔶 Whereas there was no clear legal claimant for the remaining 07 Naxal Dead bodies including that of Top Ranked Naxal cadre CPI Maoist General Secretary Basavaraju. All those 08 naxal Dead bodies (including that dead body of Maoist cadre Kosi @ Hungi, which was cremated by the family members) were cremated in Narayanpur as per the legal procedure with due order from the executive magistrate.
🔶It is noteworthy that In a major blow to the illegal and banned CPI (Maoist) formations, its General Secretary and top leader Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju @ BR Dada @ Ganganna was neutralized by DRG teams in a historic encounter in the forests of Abujhmad on 21st of May 2025
🔶 It is worth mentioning that during this historical anti naxal operation carried out on 21/05/2025, the armed Maoists cadres opened in discriminate fire on security forces. In retaliation, the forces responded bravely and skillfully, engaging the banned CPI (Maoist) outfit. As a result, 27 armed Maoists were neutralized and a large number of weapons, including AK-47s, INSAS, SLR, .303 rifles, carbines, and rocket launchers were recovered. Among the neutralized Maoists was CPI (Maoist) General Secretary Nambala Keshav Rao @ Basavaraju @ BR Dada @ Ganganna, who carried a bounty of ₹1 crore announced by the Government of Chhattisgarh. Other LWE-affected states and central agencies had also declared separate bounties on him. Of the 27 Maoists neutralized, 2 were from Andhra Pradesh and 3 from Telangana. The deceased included 1 General Secretary/Politburo Member (PBM), 1 DKSZCM, 4 CYPCM, 3 PPCM, and 18 PMs from PLGA Company No. 7—totaling a bounty of ₹3.33 crore declared by the Chhattisgarh government.
🔶Basavarju @ B R Dada, the man responsible for killings of thousands and thousands of innocent tribals as well as hundreds and hundreds of brave soldiers faced a dreadful end in the jungles of Abhujmad.
🔶The nefarious Maoist cadre, Basavaraju, one of the most wanted criminal in the country the General Secretary of CPI (Maoist) since 10 November 2018. Earlier he was Head of Central Military Commission. Basavaraju was responsible for spoiling the future of thousands of innocent tribal boys and girls by forcefully taking away from the custody of helpless parents. He along with his other illicit and cruel associates is accused of taking away peace and happiness from two generations of Bastar Native population.
So far records of more than 258 criminal cases, which have direct and indirect involvement of Basavaraju is being screened by the investigation team. Further lawful action and investigation procedure is being carried out by Narayanapur Police in the case.
🔶 Significantly, in the press note released by CPI Maoist with regard to the Abhujmaad encounter they have admitted that total 28 cadres including that of their General Secretary Basavaraju died in the exchange of fire. In the press release, the illegal and banned Maoist outfit were also trying to instigate their supporters to organise rallies and meetings throughout the country to glorify the death of their cruel and dreadful leadership, who were responsible for death of thousands and thousands of innocent citizens , tribals, women, children and security personnel. Police and intelligence agencies are keeping a strict vigilance over the activities of the Underground Maoist cadres as well as their over ground workers and supporters.
