Lakshmi Banjare, a resident of Anand village, said that she started work of producing vermicompost by joining the Jai self-help group. The group has generated an income of Rs 10.14 lakh so far by selling the same. The group comprises of 10 members and each member has earned Rs 1 lakh.
She told that the women of the group are supporting the family by selling organic fertilizers. Few women have purchased a TV while some contributed to the house construction and other has bought a scooty for her husband.
Chief Minister replied that the government schemes are bringing prosperity to the underprivileged.
