Results of High School and Higher Secondary School Board Exam Declared

Nearly 74.23% of the students have passed in high school and 79.30% in higher secondary

79.84% of the girls and 69.07% of the boys in high school have cleared the exams

Percentage of girls who have cleared the higher secondary school exam is 81.15 and that of boys is 77.03

Bonus marks given to a total of 3 thousand 214 students for extra-curricular activities
Raipur, 14 May 2022 / The results of High School Certificate Main Examination for the year 2022, organized by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, was declared today by School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam. 74.23% students in High School and 79.30% students in Higher Secondary School have successfully cleared the exams. The percentage of girls who have passed the high school exam is 78.84% and that of boys is 69.07%. Similarly, the percentage of girls who have cleared Higher Secondary Examination is 81.15 percent and that of boys is 77.03 percent.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam have congratulated all the successful students for their bright future. To the students who have failed the exams, they advised them to treat this failure as a stepping stone to success. Mr. Baghel asked such students to not get disheartened and to once again start working hard towards their academic success. Chairman of Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education Dr. Alok Shukla, Secretary Professor V.K.Goel, members of the Board and officers-employees concerned were present on this occasion.
A total of 3 lakh 75 thousand 694 candidates had registered for the main examination of high school, out of which 3 lakh 63 thousand 301 candidates appeared in the examination, and these included one lakh 71 thousand 539 boys and one lakh 91 thousand 762 girls. The results of 3 lakh 63 thousand 007 candidates of high school examination were declared today. And as per the results, 2 lakh 69 thousand 478 candidates have passed, including one lakh 32 thousand 047 (36.38 percent) in first division, one lakh 18 thousand 130 (32.54 percent) in second division and 19 thousand 270 (5.31 percent) candidates in third division. 31 candidates have cleared the exam in the pass category and 15 thousand 983 candidates are eligible for supplementary examination. The results of 294 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons. Results of 115 candidates accused of cheating have been withheld and those of 134 candidates have been canceled as they were found ineligible, and the results of 17 candidates have been withheld in the category of scrutiny. Moreover, the examination results of 28 candidates will be declared later.
School Education Minister Dr. Tekam informed that the result of high school main examination of the year 2020 was 73.62. The results this year has been 0.61 percent better than last year.
For the Higher Secondary Main Examination 2022, 2 lakh 92 thousand 611 candidates had registered. Out of these, 2 lakh 87 thousand 673 candidates appeared in the examination. These included one lakh 29 thousand 213 boys and one lakh 58 thousand 460 girls. Results of 2 lakh 87 thousand 485 candidates have been declared and 2 lakh 27 thousand 991 candidates have passed. 85 thousand 124 (29.60 percent) candidates have passed in the first division, one lakh 31 thousand 549 (45.75 percent) in second division and 11 thousand 303 (3.93 percent) in third division. 15 candidates have cleared the exam in the pass category and 34 thousand 199 candidates are eligible for supplementary. The results of 188 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons. Applications of seven candidates accused of copying have been withheld. Moreover, applications of 171 candidates were canceled because they were found ineligible and the results of 04 candidates were withheld in the category of scrutiny. Apart from this, the examination results of 06 candidates will be declared later.
School Education Minister Dr. Tekam said that in view of the pandemic, all the recognized institutions were made examination centers for the main examination of 2022, so that the protocol of social distancing could be followed. In this way, 6 thousand 743 examination centers were set up for high school examination, 4 thousand 43 examination centers for higher secondary and 29 coordination centers were established in the state. As per the orders of School Education Department, a total of 3 thousand 214 students including 1571 in high school examination and 1643 in higher secondary have been awarded bonus marks in co-curricular activities. According to the decision taken by the Board of Secondary Education, the marks of non-teaching activities will not be added in the merit list. This year the provisional merit list has been prepared excluding the bonus marks.
