Solar pump installed in Anita’s farm, sufficient water supply for irrigation in her farm
Raipur 02 February 2023/Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is meeting the people of the state through his Bhent-Mulaqat program and resolving their grievances. In one such programme held recently in Pipariya village of Podi-Uproda development block of Korba district, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel had made a promise to a woman named Anita Raj, which has been fulfilled within a few days. Anita had requested Chief Minister to install a solar irrigation pump in her father Chhotu Raj’s farm.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was impressed by Anita Raj’s outspokenness during the interaction. He also praised her for being associated with the Bihaan group and moving towards economic empowerment through self-help groups.
During the interaction with villagers at the Bhent-Mulaqat programme held in Pipariya village of Podi-Uproda development block of Korba district, Kumari Anita Raj, a resident of village Korbi, had told Chief Minister that her father Mr. Chhotu Raj practices farming for livelihood. There is a water bore in his farm but no electricity. Because of which the bore is not working, so a solar pump should be installed in his father’s farm. Chief Minister had promised Anita that soon a solar pump would be installed in her farm.
Acting quickly on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the case was immediately prepared by the Agriculture Department and within a week, the CREDA Department installed a solar pump in Chhotu’s farm. After the installation of solar pump, the problem of water supply for irrigtion in Chhotu Raj’s farm has been resolved and now he will be able to irrigate wheat, peas, tomatoes and coriander crops better. Anita Raj expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Baghel for this prompt action.
