Raipur: State Level Youth Festival: Chhattisgarh Folk Literature Conference

Raipur 30 January 2023/ Dr. Pardeshi Ram Verma, President of the first session of Chhattisgarh Folk Literature, inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

On the third and last day of the youth festival, the first session will be dedicated to story writing, and the second session will be dedicated to poetry recitation. As part of the first session of the youth festival, eight participants will participate in the story-writing lesson, while sixteen participants will participate in the recitation session.

Mahasamund’s Bandhu Rajeshwar Khare recited the title Mati Ke Asra in his story. This story describes the entire family of Lakhan Mandal. After the death of Lakhan Mandal, the focus switched to his son Bisru’s addiction to alcohol and gambling instead of saving the property.

Mr. Mangat Ravindra of Korba told the story under the title ‘Beta’. The talk happening at the squares in the village was woven into a beautiful story. The tale of Jhadu Baba was fascinating. In the story related to the land deal, Jethu told that Chaitu owns his land. Made a deal to sell, but then Chaitu refused to sell the land. According to the agreement, the Panchayat asked to present the agreement to give its decision in favor of Jethu. But, Chaitu does not get the land due to missing the agreement due to his illiterate wife. But in the end, it is agreed to give him the land.
Mr. Ramnath Sahu of Janjgir-Champa read a story focused on vengeance. There is a difference between revenge done on impulse or after thinking. In this story based on Naxalite incidents, he talked about living peacefully.
