Rural road revitalization is part of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

As per the instructions of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the work of filling potholes and repairing roads in the district is going on actively. The repair and renovation of roads has made the movement easy, due to which the residents of the district are also very happy. An amount of Rs 55.39 crore was sanctioned for a total of 96 roads of length 327km in Bilaspur district, for repair work of roads constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana that are more than 05 years old. According to the approval received, the work of repairing and renovation of roads in all the development blocks of Bilaspur district has been started by the department.So far, the renovation work of 21 roads has been completed. The repair work of all the remaining rural roads is going on. Executive Engineer P.I.U. said that the repair and renovation work of all remaining roads will be completed by March 2023. The residents of the area are happy with the repair and renovation of rural roads built by the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, for which they have expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister.
Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Superintending Engineer, Project Circle incharge Bilaspur, of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana said that Bilaspur, Mungeli, Korba and Gaurela Pendra Marwahi have 1258 kms long road. An amount of Rs 160 crore has been spent for the repair and renovation work of a total of 352 long roads. The amount has been approved. Under which repair and renovation work has been started in all the districts. The repair work of all the roads will be completed before March 2023.Due to which the villagers will not face any inconvenience in commuting before the upcoming rainy season. The Superintending Engineer instructed the contractors to do the repair work with full quality. They have been asked to compulsorily complete the repair work before March 2023.
