Rs.1024.61 crores paid to 20.53 lakh farmers of the state

In the paddy procurement year of 2020-21, 20 lakh 53 thousand farmers have been paid the last instalment amount of Rs.1024 crore 61 lakh in the farmers’ bank account by the cooperative banks of the state for selling paddy.
The Managing Director of the District Cooperative Bank told that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the state government was to be paid at a rate of Rs.9000 per acre, a total amount of Rs.5521 crore 44 lakh was to be paid in this scheme. An amount of Rs.4496 crore 83 lakh has already been paid by the banks to these farmers in three instalments. The remaining amount of the scheme has been released on March 31 as the last instalment of Rs.1024 crore 61 lakh and deposited by the banks in the Farmers’ account.
Farmers’ are receiving SMS notifications for the amount deposited to bank accounts and for those farmers who have not yet received the deposit information, the amount will also be deposited to their bank accounts in 1-2 days.
