10 percent plots will be reserved in industrial areas for other backward classes
Department of Commerce and Industries issued notification in this regard
Plots will be given to the Other Backward Classes at the rate of 10 per cent of the land interest rate and 1 per cent of the land rent
Raipur 10 February 2022/ Taking prompt action on the announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, a notification has been issued by the state government amending the “Industrial Policy-2019-2024”. As per the amendment, 10 per cent land will be reserved for OBCs in industrial areas which will be made available at 10 per cent rate of the land interest rate and 1 per cent land rent. This is being done to promote entrepreneurship among people of other backward classes.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry from Mahanadi Bhawan, 10 per cent land blocks will be reserved for OBCs in all industrial areas maintained by the Industries Department and Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Limited for the establishment of industry and service enterprises. This land will be made available at 10 per cent rate of land interest rate and 1 per cent land rent.
The period of reservation will be for two years from the appointed date or the date of establishment of the industrial area, whichever is later. The amount of plot-land will be as per the eligibility rules and provisions mentioned in “Chhattisgarh Industrial Land and Building Management Rules-2015”. These amendments shall be deemed to have come into force from the date of issue of this notification.
