Food Department hikes the rate of gunny bags from Rs 18 to Rs 25
Raipur, 1 December 2021/ On instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, farmers will now be paid Rs 25 in lieu of the old gunny bags. Food Department has issued an order in this context today.
It is noteworthy that state government has given exemption to the farmers to bring paddy to the procurement centers in their own gunny bags. Earlier, farmers were provided Rs 18 in lieu of the old gunny bags. But now on instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the predetermined rate of gunny bags has been increased from Rs 18 per piece to Rs 25.
