Shivprasad Netam was overjoyed to have Chief Minister at his house
Raipur, 11 January 2023/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today visited the house of tribal forest lease holding farmer and laborer Mr. Shivprasad Netam in Belargaon village under Sihawa assembly constituency during the Bhent-Mulaqat programme, after accepting his invitation for lunch. Farmer’s family was overjoyed to have Mr. Baghel among them. Upon his arrival, 60-year-old tribal farmer Netam warmly welcomed Chief Minister with tilak and aarti. Chief Minister was served home-cooked traditional Chhattisgarhi cuisine at the lunch. Chief Minister enjoyed Urad Bada, Roti, Arhar Dal, Munga-Aloo Badi, Mooli Bhata, Lal Bhaji, Chana Bhaji, Bhathuwa Bhaji, Tomato Chutney, Pickle and Papad along with the famous Dubraj Nagri rice. Chief Minister asked him about the cultivation of Dubraj rice and other crops. He interacted with the family members and asked them about their well being. Mr. Netam told that there are total 9 members in his family. He has got one acre of land under ‘Vanadhikar Patra’ (forest right lease), on which he practices farming. Besides, he also works as a labourer to support his family. Chief Minister thanked Mr. Netam and his family for the delicious Chhattisgarhi food and their gracious gifts, and also took a group photo with the family.
Minister in-charge of the district, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia, local MLA Mrs. Lakshmi Dhruv, Shiv Prasad Netam and Collector Ms Priyanka Mahobia accompanied Chief Minister at the lunch. On this occasion, Mr. Netam said that it is a proud moment for his entire family to have the head of the state at his house for lunch. We will remember this moment for the rest of our lives, said Netam.
