CM visits 12 Jyotirlingas of Tatapani
CM announces a slew of development works worth Rs.976 crore 47 lakh for Balrampur district

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the historic three-day Tatapani Mahotsav of Balrampur district on January 14 i.e. on occasion of Makar Sankranti.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development works worth Rs 976 crore 47 lakh. These include laying foundation stone of 284 development works and inauguration of 446 development works under Ramanujganj assembly constituency. He also laid foundation stone of 777 development works and inauguration of 16 development works under Samri assembly constituency. He also laid foundation stone of 46 development works and inauguration of 138 development works under Pratappur assembly constituency.
Along with this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel made 20 announcements and laid foundation stone of 03 works during the Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan program. He also made two announcements for the Electricity Department works in Samri assembly constituency.
During the festival, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel participated in the marriage ceremony of 501 couples under the Samuhik Kanya Vivah Yojana and blessed the newly married couples.
To honour the religious beliefs of people and famous underground hot water sources, a fair at the Makar Sankranti festival has been organised every year. The devotees from bordering districts of neighboring states like Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh reached every year there. Respecting the people’s faith, the district administration has organised a three-day Tatapani Mohotsava.
The Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also visited the 12 Jyotirlingas present there after offering prayers to Lord Shiva in Tatapani. After this, he also visited the exhibition organized through development works stalls based on various government schemes.
On the occasion of Tatapani Sankranti Parab, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Samari MLA Mr. Chintamani Maharaj, Ramanujganj MLA Mr. Brihaspat Singh along with elected public representatives from the region also participated.
