Chief Minister met representatives of various communities and social organizations in Bemetara
Raipur, 29 December 2022/ Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel met a delegation of various communities and social organizations in Bemetara late on Wednesday as a part of his ‘Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan’. During their interaction with Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the Brahmin samaj thanked him for the efforts made towards cow protection. On the demand of the people of the community for a Vedic center and a religious reading room, the Chief Minister gave his nod for opening an e-reading room. The Chief Minister said that Devarbija College will be named after Shankaracharya.
Shri Baghel took information from representatives of all communities and organizations regarding their social activities and also took feedback from them regarding the implementation of government schemes and programmes. On the demand of various social organizations, he approved a financial grant of Rs 30 lakh to Sahu Samaj for construction of community hall, Rs 10 lakh for upgradation of building of Chhattisgarh Gaur Brahmin Samaj, Rs 20 lakh to Goswami Samaj for district level building in Pedetarai, Rs 20 lakh to Sahu Samaj for construction of community hall in Bemetara and Rs 10 lakh to Rajasthani Gaur Samaj for renovation of building and Rs 2 lakh for musical instruments.
Chhattisgarh Gaur Brahmin Samaj thanked the Chief Minister for putting a ban on sale of meat and alcohol on Janmashtami. On the occasion, Shri Baghel said that Krishna Kunj is also being built in all Nagar Panchayats. The Chief Minister agreed to the demand of the representatives of the Adivasi Gond community for establishing a post-matric girls’ hostel in Bemetara. The delegation of Dhobi Samaj and Dewangan Samaj thanked the Chief Minister for donating Rs 20 lakh earlier for the community hall. Similarly, Manikpuri Panika Samaj and Kalar Samaj thanked Chief Minister for approving funds for their respective community halls.
Meanwhile, on the demand of land by the Muslim community, the Chief Minister directed the Collector to do the needful. Similarly, on the demand of the Sen Samaj for sanctioning funds for the compound construction in their under construction building, the Chief Minister said that the construction work of the building should be completed first.
The Chief Minister instructed the officers to remove encroachments in village Dokla. The representatives of Meher Samaj expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister for setting up ‘Charm Shilp Board’ (Leather Craft Board). The Chief Minister advised the representatives of the Devangan Samaj to motivate the youth of community to work in RIPA. On the request of the representatives of the community, he assured the extension of electricity in village Rampur (Bhad). The representatives of the Mahara Samaj asked to mention caste in English for caste certificate. Chief minister ssured to take positive initiative on the demand of Divyangs to increase building loan and grant amount. On the demand of money for land and building by Vaishnav Samaj, Thethvar Samaj, Gupta Samaj, Gandharva Samaj, Jheria Gadaria Samaj, the Chief Minister suggested that first the land should be named after the respective community and after that the amount would be sanctioned as per the procedure.
