Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is on an extensive tour to meet and greet people in 90 constituencies of Chhattisgarh. Presently,Mr. Baghel has been touring the Surguja region since May 4 , during which the generosity and his sensitivity towards the suffering, sick , helpless and underprivileged people can be evidently seen. On the other hand, the Chief Minister’s strict attitude towards the officials-employees who have shown signs of corruption, negligence and compromised public works is also visible from place to place.
During his meet-and-greet campaign, the Chief Minister is taking due note of the ground reality of government’s schemes and programs on the functioning of government offices, reviewing the government work by meeting the officers, as well as listening to the problems of the people.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel on his visit to Pratappur assembly constituency of Surajpur district , was face to face with the people in Govindpur village , A resident of village Khorma by the name of Somaru Sai, approached the Chief Minister and told about his cancer disease and the financial condition of the family. Hearing this, the sensitive Mr. Baghel understood his concern and instantly granted a financial assitance of Rs. 1 Lakhs from Chief Minister’s fund. After this gesture, Somaru got emotional and thanked Mr. Baghel for this endavour and informed him that with recieving this financial aid, now he wont need to bend down in front of anyone for money.
Similarly, On May 5 in the village of Arajahi, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel had brought light in the lives of Anati Devi’s two blind children namely Riya and Chanda by assuring their treatment sponsored by the state government. He instructed to treat their eyes at any cost,in any big hospital of any metropolitan city,be it Delhi or Chennai. During the meeting at Daura, the Chief Minister took immediate action on the complaint of 70-year-old elderly woman Kabilaso Bai for non-receipt of ration card and handed over Antyodaya ration card to her within half an hour. It is worth mentioning that with the ration card given to Kabilaso Bai, 40 kg rice and 2 kg salt, 2 kg gram at the rate of Rs 5 per kg and 1 kg sugar at Rs 17 per kg has also been received by her from fair price shop.
Chief Minister’s affection and generosity towards children can be clearly seen when he was inspecting Swami Atmanand School in Raghunathnagar and children came up to him and insisted to take them for a helicopter ride,to which he instantly agreed and granted their wish.
During the Bhent Mulaqat Campaign, the stern attitude of Mr. Baghel can also be seen in effect of the complaints received from the public about the matter of negligence and curroption. Taking prompt action on the complaint of non-issuance of ration card during the meeting, the Chief Minister had suspended the CMO of Kusmi Nagar Panchayat. Similarly, when a case of negligence in respect of land acquisition compensation came to the fore, the Executive Engineer of the Water Resources Department, the Patwari of Raghunath Nagar in the case of illegal recovery from the farmers and the Forest Divisional Officer in the case of negligence in the work of Avarti Charai scheme in Gauthan,all these concerned officials were suspended. Forest Divisional Officer,Mr. Manish Kashyap, Deputy Divisional Forest Officer, Mr. Budhsay Bhagat of Surajpur and Forest Circle Officer, M.s Bhui Sanskriti Barle have been suspended.
