Raipur: 18 September 2022 / Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel visited village Belaudi in Gundardehi assembly constituency today, under his Bhent-Mulaqat program. At the onset of public interaction programme, Chief Minister visited Ma Durga and Sheetala temple in village Belaudi, performed customary rituals and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh. In his address to the people present in the occasion, Chief Minister told that in the first phase of the campaign, he had met the people of Bastar and Surguja divisions, and later he visited Raigarh. And now I am touring the Balod district, and it is a great pleasure to be among you today, said Chief Minister.
On the demand of the villagers, Chief Minister announced that an SDOP would be appointed in Gundardehi. Construction of community health centers at Arjunda and Gundardehi, and construction of a bus stand at Arjunda were also approved on the occasion. Mr. Baghel announced sanction of Rs 50 lakh for beautification of Devgudi, deepening of Belaudi reservoir and repair of various roads in tribal dominated villages of Gundardehi assembly constituency. In addition, Mr. Baghel also announced that two private schools in Bhathagaon B and Pairi will be turned into government schools and District Cooperative Bank ATMs will be opened in Bhatagaon, Belaudi, Kurdi.
Tell us the shortcoming and we will rectify it – Chief Minister
Chief Minister said that the objective behind these public interaction tours is to review the implementation of government schemes at grassroots-level and to check if the people are getting benefits of these schemes. In response, people present at the programme enthusiastically affirmed that they are receiving benefits of various government schemes. Chief Minister, in his address, asked people to tell what else is missing, the shortcomings, so that the government can rectify it.
During the interaction, Shatrughan praised Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and said that I have been receiving the benefits of this scheme for past two years. In addition, government had also waived off his loan of Rs 35 thousand under Short Term Agriculture Loan Waiver Scheme. Expressing his gratitude to the Chief Minister, Shatrughan raised the slogan of ‘Chhattisgarhia Sable Badhiya’.
Domar Singh Sahu thanked Chief Minister and said that his loan of Rs 3 lakh has been waived under Short Term Agriculture Loan Scheme. Under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, he has received the benefit of Rs 38 thousand so far. Chief Minister asked Domar Singh about how he had spent the extra amount of money he had received. To which, Domar Singh replied that his son got married and he could arrange the wedding without taking any loan from outside. Chief Minister congratulated Domar Singh and also politely interacted with his daughter-in-law, asking about her well-being.
Chief Minister asked people present at the programme if they have got their ration cards issued. In response, a beneficiary told that he has received his ration card. Devati Sahu, a resident of Haldi, told that there are 3 people in her family, and they have been receiving salt, sugar, and rice at the fair price. Chief Minister asked all the eligible farmers to compulsorily get their registration done under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Under this scheme, there is a provision of giving Rs 7 thousand per year to the eligible farmers.

Gomti Sahu told Chief Minister that her child’s bodyweight has significantly improved due to Mukhyamantri Suposhan Yojana. His nutrition level has improved to the extent that he has now come under the category of normal children. Chief Minister encouraged Gomti to avail the scheme and facility available for heathcare of anemic women. While interacting with a beneficiary with physically-challenged child, Chief Minister said that every district has facility of special school for children with special needs, where children like him are properly taken care of. Chief Minister asked people if they were charged money for the medical services provided in the Haat Bazar mobile van, to which they replied that the health checkup facility and medicines were provided to them free of cost at the mobile medical units in haat-bazaars.
On the demand of villagers, Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to make better arrangement of water and electricity supply in Bhatagaon. A member of Chanchal Mahila Group told ]Chief Minister that they have sold vermi compost worth Rs 51 thousand so far and have earned the net income of Rs 28 thousand. Besides, they have also sold pesticides worth Rs 15 thousand. When members of the women self-help group requested for allotment of 10 bicycles, Chief Minister immediately approved Rs 50 thousand from discretionary grant. On the occasion, Ms. Padma expressed appreciation for Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel through a self-composed poem.
Bholaram Sahu requested Chief Minister to provide him a solar pump. He also urged for procurement of 18 quintals of paddy per acre on support price. People told Chief Minister that procurement of paddy at support price has positively transformed the lives of farmers. Bholaram insisted that the procurement of 18 quintals of paddy per acre will further improve the financial condition of the farmers. Chief Minister fulfilled the demand of Bholaram Sahu by approving a solar pump for him.
Mr. Narendra Singha, a resident of Haldi, told Chief Minister that ‘the chit fund company has robbed me’. In response, Chief Minister said that State Government is taking strict action against the fraud chit fund companies and many directors of such companies have been arrested.
Addressing the people present, Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh Government has tirelessly worked for increasing the income of the farmers. Many major decisions were taken in this regard. Despite the COVID crisis, continuous efforts are being made for the development of the people. Even during the Corona period, we kept all our promises to the farmers. Farmers were continuously provided the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. And today, after interacting with the farmers, I am delighted to see how these schemes and decisions have brought happiness into the lives of farmers. The area under cultivation has also increased. More and more people are taking interest in farming as occupation. He also spoke in detail about the positive results of Godhan Nyay Yojana.
Before the Bhent-Mulaqat Programme, Chief Minister visited the temple. Thereafter, he went to the house of Sarpanch of the village, Mrs. Kantibai Sarathi, and expressed condolences on demise of her son late Shri Bhupendra Sarthi (Ishu) by garlanding his picture. Shri Bhupendra passed away a week ago on September 12. Meanwhile, Chief Minister also expressed condolence to Mrs. Shilpa, wife of late Shri Bhupendra, and his two-year old son Kanha.
