Prayed for happiness and prosperity of the state
Raipur, 23 May 2022 / Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Monday offered prayers at Maa Danteshwari Temple in Katekalyan of Dantewada district and wished for happiness and prosperity of the state and the people of the region. He inaugurated 67 renovated ‘Devgudis’ of the district in a programme organized in the temple premises. In a bid to preserve the tribal culture and to save the epicenter of their faith, the work of beautification and development of these Devgudis has been done by the state government at a cost of Rs 6 crore 70 lakhs. This includes 16 Devgudis in Katekalyan block, 27 in Dantewada block, 19 in Geedam block and 5 in Kuakonda block. Industries Minister and Dantewada district in-charge Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, MP Mr. Deepak Baij, MLA Mrs. Devati Karma were also present on the occasion. Gaita, Pujari, Perma, Gujiya and Manjhi of the temple expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister for including them under the scope of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana providing them an annual financial assistance of Rs 7 thousand.
